Collections & Favorites

Collections are a great way to thoughtfully merchandize and organize the products available in your shop. To get started with creating a new collection, you have two options:

Option 1

1. Make sure you are logged in to your artist account.
   
   
2. Navigate to the first product you want added to your collection (you can edit the order of the items in your collection later). Choose the variant (size / color, etc.) you want to add to your collection.
   
   
3. Click on the heart located at the top right corner of the product preview.
   
   
4. A pop up will appear at the bottom of your screen. Click on the “Create A New Collection” option to create your new collection.
   
   
   
   
5. In the text box, type in the title of your new collection.
    

   Note - You have the option of making your collections private. This means that only you will be able to view this collection. You can change this at any time from the collection listing page. Collections that are not private will be highlighted in the Collections tab of your Artist Shop.
   
   

6. Click on the “Create Collection” tab. Once the collection has been created, be sure to check the box for the collection you are adding the item to (you may need to uncheck the box that was previously checked before creating the new collection).
   
   

7. Click “Submit”.
   
   

8. Follow the previous steps and select this newly created collection to add additional items to your collection.

Option 2

1. Make sure you are logged in to your artist account.
   
   
2. Navigate to the collections listing page by clicking on the heart near the upper right corner of the site next to your avatar. 
   
   
3. Click on the "+Add" button, give your collection a name, then click "create collection.

Once created, you can view all of your collections by clicking on the heart in the upper right corner of the site next to your avatar. This will bring you to your Collections Listing Page where you can edit collections and share them with your customers. You can also view your Favorite Designs from this page. 

Please keep in mind that there is a maximum of 200 collections per user and each collection can hold a maximum of 300 products.

To edit your collections, navigate to your Collection Listing Page by clicking on the heart in the upper right corner of the site next to your avatar. From here:

1. Click on the “Edit” button.
   
   
2. Click, hold and drag your collections to rearrange them. If you want to delete a collection, select the checkbox in the top left corner of the collection and click “Delete”.
   
   
   
   
   

You also have the option to update the collection name, add a description, rearrange products in a collection, set the collection to private, and delete a specific product or products from the collection. To do this:

1. Click into the collection you wish to edit.
2. Click the “Edit” button.

From here, you can make the desired updates to your collection. Be sure to click the “Done” button after making any changes.

To add new products to a collection:

1. Navigate to the product you want added to your collection.
   
   
2. Click on the heart located at the top right corner of the product preview.
   
   
3. A pop up will appear at the bottom of your screen. Check the box on the collection you want to add to.
   
   
4. Click submit.
   
   

Take advantage of these editing tools by using them to merchandise the products in your collections.

You have the option of sharing a collection to Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. You can also share via email or by generating a link to the collection.

To do this, simply navigate to the collection you wish to share and click on the share icon that can be found above the edit button.

This feature makes it easy for you to share your beautifully curated collections with your customers. 

Note: If you are a member of the Artist Affiliate Program, your affiliate link will automatically be added when using the sharing feature.

To delete a collection, navigate to your Collection Listing Page. From here:

1. Click on the “Edit” button
   
   
2. Select one or more individual collections by checking the box that appears in the top left corner of the collection. You can also click the “Select all” box if you wish to delete everything.
   
   
3. Once you’re sure the correct collections have been selected, click the “Delete” option.

To remove individual products from a collection:

1. Click into the collection where the product is featured.
   
   
2. Click the “Edit” button then check the box in the top left corner for each item you wish to remove.
   
   
3. Once you’re sure the correct products have been selected, click the “Remove” option.

Note - Although your “Wishlist” appears in the collections listing page, it cannot be deleted. Only the individual items in a wishlist can be removed.

For artists, favoriting designs is a great way to save art that you love or that inspires you. The best part is, you can favorite art from any artist’s shop, even your own! You should be your own biggest fan after all.

Favoriting designs on Society6 allows us to learn more about what customers are liking in your shop and provide them with intelligent recommendations to personalize their shopping experience and in turn drive more sales for you.

To favorite a design, you’ll need to navigate to the Design Detail Page of the artwork by clicking on any product, scrolling down the page, and then clicking on the button that reads “Shop all products with this design.”

Once on the Design Detail Page, click the heart in the upper right corner of the main artwork on the page to add it to your Favorites. Clicking the heart again will remove it from your favorites.

To view the designs you’ve favorited:

1. Make sure you are signed in to your artist account.
   
   
2. Click on the heart in the upper right corner of the site next to your avatar.
   
   
3. Click on the “designs” tab
   
   

You can also “unfavorite” a design from this page. 

Your “Favorites” also show up in your Artist Shop. You can also explore the Favorite Designs of your fellow artists for inspiration by visiting their Artist Shop.

Note - Favoriting a design does not currently have an impact on your visibility on Society6. This means that the amount of hearts your design has received will not impact your product rankings when customers search and browse on Society6.
