My Account

  • Your username is used to create a shareable link to your profile and is an important unique identifier for your account. The username that you choose when you create your account is permanent and cannot be changed.

    However, you can change your display name any time. Your display name is what shows in your shop and on all product listings. Changes to your display name can be made from your account page here.

    If you must change your username, you will need to delete your account and create a new one.

  • Have you recently changed the email address that you use to sign in to PayPal or no longer have access to that email? You'll need to also update your Society6 account with your new PayPal email to continue receiving payment for your earnings.

    You are able to re-verify your account by following these steps:

    1. Visit you My Account page.

    2. Click "Change Verified PayPal Email Address".

    3. You will receive an email with instructions on how to change your PayPal email to the PayPal email address that is currently linked to your Society6 account (be sure to check your spam and junk folders).

    If you do not receive an email or no longer have access to your old PayPal email, please contact us here.

  • If you need to update or reset the password currently associated with your account,

    1. Visit your My Account page and click on "Change Password".

    2. An email with instructions on how to reset your password will be sent to the email used to sign in (be sure to check spam/junk folders).

    3. Click Reset your password.

    4. Enter your new password and confirm your new password.

    5. Click Change password tab to submit the changes.

    The following page will confirm your changes and you'll have the option to sign in from there.

  • If you are having trouble signing in to your account, you should first make sure that there are no typos or misspellings with your password/email.

    If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it through this link.

    You'll also want be sure that you are using the same email address that you signed up with. If you receive an error message that says “Wrong Email and Password combination”, this means that the email you're trying to use is not associated with any accounts on Society6.

    If you are still unable to access your account, or you're seeing a message that states your account may be deactivated/suspended, please contact our customer support team for further assistance. You can reach them here.

  • It can take up to 24 hours for a post/product to show up in your store. During peak upload times, such as during sales/the holiday season or when new products are released, it can take a bit longer. Sometimes things do go wrong.

    If it has been more than 24 hours since you made a change to your profile and nothing has happened, feel free to contact our support team.

  • We have an algorithm based on a variety of variables that determines which products show up on our search result pages as well as the main product pages (e.g. art print listing page). However, our most successful artists do not solely rely on us to market their products. Check out our blog post on how some Society6 artists have found success promoting their artwork through Instagram.

  • By using the Society6 website and services, and uploading your designs, you are agreeing to our Terms of Service. Society6 is proud to be an open and all-inclusive community. However, we may deem a design or activity to be in violation of our Terms of Service.

    Reasons for account suspension include, but are not limited to:

    • A design, title, tags or text that copy someone else’s design, photograph, logo, likeness, or name, or otherwise infringe their copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or intellectual property rights;
    • A design, title, tags or text that are indecent, profane, obscene, abusive, inflammatory, untrue, misleading, defamatory, illegal, or violate any applicable law;
    • Harassing, spamming, threatening, stalking, harming or embarrassing others; or
    • Any other unauthorized use of the Society6 website or services.

    If you believe that your account was suspended in error, please contact us.

  • In most cases, artwork is removed from Society6 for infringing the copyright, trademark, publicity right or other rights of a third party. Generally speaking, when your artwork is removed it is because Society6 has received notification from the rights holder or authorized representative that the work is infringing. 

     

    Society6 has a zero tolerance policy for infringement on another's copyrights and other intellectual property rights. It is our policy to expeditiously remove content that is reported to contain material that infringes upon the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of third parties or that violates our Terms of Service. That said, when your work is removed it does not necessarily mean that Society6 considers your work to be infringing.  

     

    While most designs are removed for intellectual property concerns, in some cases designs may be removed for violating our Community Guidelines or other laws. 


    If you believe that your work was removed in error, you may contact us here. Ultimately we are unable to provide legal counsel or personal opinions regarding matters, and suggest you consult your own professional if the information above does not offer any additional clarity.

  • Society6 is an open platform and artworks are constantly being added and removed by artists and Society6 for a variety of reasons. We do not recommend referring to the site as a definitive guide for what is okay to upload or sell. Instead, please refer to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service for detailed information about our content policies. 


    Please be aware that from time to time Society6 may work with select brand partners to offer limited licenses that authorize specific artists to use their intellectual property in artwork made available through the Society6 services.   • Deactivating your account will make it so that your shop and products are no longer hosted in Society6 search results.

    If you are only deactivating your account in order to create a new one, please alter the email associated with your current account if you intend to use it with the new account.

    Simply navigate to the "My account" page and scroll to the bottom where you'll find the "deactivate my account" option.

    Things to keep in mind:

    1. If you have accrued earnings, they will not be paid out while an account is deactivated. We recommend that artists unpublish all artworks and keep their accounts active until all pending earnings have been paid. Please reference this page for more on when you can expect to receive your earnings.

    2. Usernames cannot be recycled once an account has been deactivated.

    3. Email addresses can only be associated with one account.

    4. Deactivating your shop will not permanently delete all information from an account. To have your information removed from our servers, please submit a "Data Deletion" request as outlined in our   Privacy Policy.
